Grand Falls, NB, January 28, 2026 — The New Brunswick Maple Syrup Association (NBMSA) is proud to announce the Maple Forum and 23rd Annual General Meeting, to be held on January 30 and 31, 2026, at the Delta Beauséjour in Moncton. Under the theme “Maple, a Source of Pride for New Brunswick: Celebrate, Grow, Prosper,” this flagship event will bring together more than 150 producers, partners, and allies from the maple industry.
Over the course of two full days, the 2026 Maple Forum, proudly presented by CDL Maple Equipment, will feature conferences, panels, and presentations focusing on market access and maple syrup diversification, silviculture and advance payments programs, workforce challenges, as well as maple stand protection and access to Crown lands.
Friday evening will feature a dinner keynote with Martin Picard, renowned chef, culinary entrepreneur, and maple ambassador. Under the theme From Forest to Table: Maple at the Heart of Creativity and Local Pride, the discussion will highlight the role of maple production in gastronomy, tourism, and regional development, in a conversation hosted by Jean-Sébastien “Bass” Levesque, comedian and well-known New Brunswick personality.
The 2026 Forum will also mark a historic milestone for the Association with the inaugural presentation of the Citadelle Award – Maple Excellence 2026. This new award recognizes excellence, innovation, and outstanding contributions by producers and industry leaders who help showcase New Brunswick maple syrup both locally and internationally.
The NBMSA wishes to acknowledge the essential contribution of its financial partners and sponsors, whose support makes this signature event possible and helps highlight the strength of New Brunswick’s maple industry. Their commitment reflects the power of partnerships in supporting the sector’s continued growth and prosperity.
In addition to the conference program, participants will be able to visit an exhibition featuring close to 20 exhibitors, showcasing the latest innovations, equipment, and services designed to support the success of maple businesses. The Forum will conclude with the 23rd Annual General Meeting, a key moment to review the past year and set future priorities for the Association.
According to Glenn Somers, President of the NBMSA Board of Directors, the Forum plays a vital role in the industry’s momentum: “The Maple Forum is a valuable opportunity to take stock, share expertise, and collectively reflect on the future of our industry. By building on our pride, our know-how, and our capacity to innovate, we will continue to elevate New Brunswick maple syrup.”
