The NBMSA is pleased to present its training program for fall 2026 and winter 2027. Our goal is to offer practical training that is directly relevant to producers and easily accessible throughout New Brunswick. Sessions are offered online via Zoom, generally at 7:00 p.m.

This year, we have made a particular effort to offer training in both official languages. Some sessions are presented separately in French and in English, while others are offered in French with simultaneous English interpretation, allowing us to reach as many producers as possible.

Our instructor, Joël Boutin
Many of you already know Joël Boutin, maple production advisor and the main instructor for this program. With more than 40 years of experience in the maple industry, Joël brings extensive expertise as an advisor. His approach focuses on finding the right balance between new technologies, business profitability and the production of flavourful, high-quality maple syrup.

Cost
All training sessions are free for NBMSA producer members and associate members. Producer members may also share the Zoom link with their employees, who can participate at no additional cost. Sessions are also open to non-members at a cost of $50 per session.

For smaller producers, becoming a member can be particularly worthwhile: annual membership is $100 for operations with 1,000 taps or fewer. Attend just two sessions and your membership has already paid for itself, in addition to all the other services and benefits available to members.

Can't attend live?
All sessions are recorded and made available afterward in the members-only section of our website, so you can watch them later at your convenience.

 

Additional training sessions are in development, including financial management for maple businesses, succession and transition planning, and processing and value-added products.
